Lol, for this question too, it varies drastically, depeding on local fuel costs, how far away your destination is, whther or not you can fly the aircraft or need pilots and which airport you land at.  Also it depends on the specific model of airplane (its age, brand name, size, etc.) The question is too vague.


  2. Charter a twin, depending on the type of aircraft and the way the charge, plan on anywhere from 2.50-4.00 a mile, or about 350-700.00 a flight hour depending type of aircraft.

  3. A friend of mine has a Beechcraft Baron 58 that he charters, mostly to take people to the beach or to Florida.  He charge $3.50 per mile plus a fuel surcharge and layover fees.

    He offers "package" discounts for certain standard routes such as the popular beach resorts and major inland cities.

    People are often shocked at the price.  They were thinking it would cost less than airline tickets "because it's one o' them little bitty airplanes."

    But it doesn't work that way.
