What is the average cost to have your irons re-gripped?

I bought a used set of Callaway Big Bertha irons a few months back, I've played them a few times but have noticed a number of the grips are shot. I've never regripped any clubs I have ever owned, just curious.

  1. about 3 dollars a grip pending what you like....i got the lampkins and it was about 4 dollars because i got the kind that last a long time...but then you have to pay for them to put it on....and that is 4 per club

  2. it depends if you already have the grips or if you have to pay for them there they could cost up 15$ if you already have the grips for the materials plus labor fees if you dont have the grips they could cost up to 10$ a grip plus materials plus labor

  3. The cost to re-grip your clubs will depend on what grips you choose. Grips can cost anywhere from around $3 per club to as much as $12 or $13.

Before you choose a grip, make sure the grip fits the conditions you play in. If you play in hot and humid conditions or you sweat a lot, an all-rubber grip won't do you much good because the grip will get wet and slippery. Instead you shoulg go with a cord grip so it doesn't get slippery. Cord grips can be hard on the hands, though. An all-rubber grip will give you lots of shock-absorbtion, and are usually very soft. But as I said, they get slippery with moisture.

I recommend the Golf Pride Multi Compound grip. You get the best of both worlds: a half-cord at the top, and soft rubber at the bottom. They will cost you around $10 per club, so about $80 for a set of irons (3-iron through pitching wedge). It's worth it though!

If you don't want to spend $80 to re-grip your set, then I suggest the Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips. They are all-rubber, but they feel good and are a bit cheaper, about $7 a grip. Plus Tiger Woods uses those grips.

  4. it depends on what kind of grips you get. i suggest a lamkin, golf pride, or winn grip. buy them at a local golfsmith. they regrip for free.

  5. id say anywhere from 3 to 12 dollars a club.  Normally u should regrip ur clubs at the end of every golf season.  It usually costs me 90 dollars to regrip my clubs (3-GW) at my local pro shop

  6. about $3-15.  Like anything in golf, the better grip you want, the more it costs.

  7. depending on the quality of grips s set of 8 irons at one time should not exceed 40-45 dollars . the reason for lower price you will be regripping full set . golf shops reduce price . you may consider a different grip than factory callaway . they are very expensive , do not last long at all . plus no discount on cost . go to a aftermarket grip . there is a huge selection available . also cheapest way to improve game . good luck

  8. Anywhere from $3-8 per club  depending on quality.
