  1. I was once a civilian contractor working in the Riverside County Sheriff's office. I literally saw these "peace officers" playing rock-paper-scissors whenever a call for help came in. I also saw them beating a small dog to death, while laughing maniacally. I hope I never have to do contract work again.

  2. BRUTAL BRUTALITY! i honestly dont like cops they killed my uncle so their job is brutal everyday to me cause while their out here killing off people the people are doing the same to them! well in new york at least.

  3. Ever watch Super Troopers?

    It's exactly like that.

  4. I KNOW A LOT OF COPS HERE IN NYC AND THEY ARE JUST CRIMINALS WITH A BADGE. DRUNK ON DUTY, ROBBING PEOPLE,STEALING PERSONAL POSSESSIONS FROM THE PEOPLE THEY HARASS. YOUR BETTER OFF PROTECTING YOURSELF. THEY LOOK FORWARD TO ARRESTING ANYONE JUST BEFORE THE END OF THEIR SHIFT SO THEY CAN MAKE OVERTIME. SO IF YOU GET ARRESTED YOU MAY BE PAYING FOR HIS ANNIVERSARY GIFT FOR HIS WIFE OR HIS CHRISTMAS PRESENTS FOR HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

  5. first there is no such thing as avg....second usually my shift goes as such...9pm get ready kiss family good bye...arrive in my district by 945pm  then gas up...get a coffee or water...then run traffic until calls for service come in...that continues until about 430am...then its lnch time...then at about 550am ill have all my paper work completed and start heading home...

  6. There is never an average day, each one is different.

Your first priority is calls for service (the ones called in by citizens and given out by dispatch). Your next priority is to follow up on those complaints. Then, you need to turn in all the paperwork associated with the complaint.

By the time you are done with all that, there is usually another call pending. If there is not, you go patrol the streets, looking for traffic violations and other things out of the ordinary. You continue to patrol until you get another call for service.

That may be oversimplified, but that is a pretty basic day. There are other things you may be involved in, such as teaching crime prevention to area businesses, or teaching DARE, GREAT, or other programs in the schools.

You also need to go to specialized schools yourself to keep your certification up. Some examples of on going training and schools are weapons re-certification, defense and arrest tactics, emergency vehicle operation, legal updates, drug interdiction methods, and may others.

  7. I guess they just drive around all day busting suspects. The shoot a few and just beat others down and drag them off. They scare the h**l out of people but that is what they want to do - scare the h**l out of people.

Read "a clockwork orange" or see the movie and see how bad it can get.
