  1. Gas prices go one step down two steps forward. 3$ a gallon, what a bargain!

The next wave will take it to 5$ a gallon.

  2. As this changes almost daily and even hourly, it's hard to say, but as an average, about $3.95 a Gallon. More in California, and Hawaii.

The price may go down for a while, but it's the old question of supply and demand. With India and China, and other third world countries, especially the two most populous nations, having rising income, the demand side will keep going up.

The reason for the latest drop in prices at the pump, is people are cutting back on their driving, and getting rid of those big gas guzzlers and either taking public transportation, or buying more fuel efficient cars.

As long as the price is high at the pump, people will make changes in their driving habits.

The price of gas, may go lower in the short term, but like everything else, will still go up, eventually.

It will stabilize, once we have more fuel efficient cars, more public transport etc. And I'm sure more oil found, and drilled for off shore.

  3. 3.54. I am not sure it could go either way. Its unpredicatable

  4. A price for gas August 22, 2008 is $3.699. I do not think the price of gas and oil will go down.

  5. $3.85 a US gallon. It will go up, Home heating costs this winter, dollar is up and people are spending like it is Christmas. Gas will go up especially after tonight since all the party goer's wake up in the morning and pop a Aspirin, it is made out of good ole oil too!

  6. i think the average is...WAY TOO MUCH!!!!!...i dont think it will go down for long because they just want our money...gas prices are just crazy...i'd rather walk...jk i probably couldnt walk as far as i need to go but i think the prices are just ridiculous...but the average is probably about $3.50

  7. The price of gasoline will not go down significantly, because Saudia Arabia has indicated that they will cut production to support the price of oil above $100 a barrel.

  8. It happens every national election cycle. If the American Electorate is angry about something and the President is perceived as responsible the people who are benefiting from this will try and put in a temporary fix until the election is over. Right now we are seeing this on energy policy and Iraq. Its nothing new. Its really a very old trick. Believe me after the election the price of gas will head right back up.

  9. 3.50 down here. I sure hope they continue to go down, but who knows.

  10. Where I am it is $3.75, which is insane.

They may go down a little, but not a lot. They are up for good. The moneyhungry oil and gasoline companies know what they can make off addicted Amerikans.

  11. roughly 3.8 or 3.9 per gallon and i think the prices might slip a little but not much and probably remain relatively high

  12. In our area the average price is 3.45 in central illinois. Our local grocery store has a pumps perk program. You get so many cents off a gallon of gas for buying certain items and usually its food that most of us buy anyway. So last week I paid 2.67 a gallon for 15 gallons of gas.

Iam hoping it goes down but right now it is staying steady in our area has been the same for about a week now.

  13. ours is $3.49.  I'd love to see it go down at least another $3.00!  Well, it's just not going to $.79 a gallon again.
