What is the average height?

Question

For a 3yr old? and a 5½yr old - both girls?

My 3yr old seems tiny compared to others the same age - she is 94cm tall. and my 5yr old seems tall and she's 115cm,

Do I have shorty and a possible stringbean on my hands?

I'm short (5ft) but their father is 6ft 2, so am guessing each one takes after one of us. Except the strange thing is my eldest looks the spitting image of me (except she's taller then I was at that age) and my youngest looks more like her father but has my shortness it seems lol.

No, not short at all.  The 3 yr old is 50th percentile and the 5.5 yr old is 75th percentile

Based on the chart given here:

It looks like the average height for a 3 year old girl is about 37 inches (3 ft 1 in) while the average height of a 5 1/2 year old is close to 44 inches (3 ft 8). Sounds like not a whole lot to be growing 7 1/2 inches in 2 1/2 years, but I didn't make up the chart. When you read the chart, look at the thick red line in the middle - it's the 50th percentile line - the absolute middle.

You shouldv'e gotten a blue book when you gave birth that records everything to do with your child. There is a chart in there that shows the average height and weight.
