What is the average length a Hellicopter....?

can travel before refueling. My company owns a private Helicopter that the CEo takes from office to office and some other execs use it for "business travel" So the average private helicopter, can it make it on a 2000 mile trip without refueling and how long would it take?

  1. Like the first answer says, 2000 miles is completely out of the non-stop range for a helicopter - except for some military types which can re-fuel in midair.

    The average helicopter flies at 120-150 mph, and has an endurance of 3 hours. Do the math, or talk to your Company's pilot.


  2. Well here are the two most popular business choppers' range:

    Bell 206 III Jetranger: 732km (385nm)

    Augusta A-109: 648km (350nm)

    Highly unlikely any can make a 2000 mile trip no refueling, with refueling i would hazard a guess it would take around 9-10 hours
