What is the average length of polo wraps?

I am a hunter/jumper and i bought new polo wraps but they are very long. How long is the average length for a 16.3 normal horse?

  1. Thank God I have never used 9 footers ,,

    I have gotten 6 ft ones

    How tall you horse is really doesnt matter ,,,its the length of the cannon bone

    YOU START almost at top then go down wrap under the ankle AT A ANGLE

    then you wrap back at the ankle you must make a v and then it should go to the top and the stop ..

    I hate to long ones

    Best is to have a pro show you how to do it !!

    or they will come off

    The worst wrappers I have ever seen are barrel horses ,

    they have pin in them every where

    and refuse to learn the right way ,,

    PS get some one really good to show you

    It might take a few times but once you get it

    you can feel safe doing it ,, 5  ft is what I like


  2. most horse length polos are 9 ft, or three yards.  I have used this length on a 16.3 horse before..

    but if they are longer you just make your spacing smaller and wrap up and down the leg more-though there is a bigger danger of bowing  a tendon with extreme length.
