How many miles do 4th gen mustangs make it up to until they start needing to be fixed. Like Honda's make it to 300,000 miles or more. What about mustangs? And whats the average gas mileage for a 4th generation mustang?

  1. EVERY car out there will eventually need things fixed. Some Mustangs can go 300K miles without needing any major repairs, but most will need work before they hit 200K. Keep in mind that most Mustangs have been driven hard, and that means a lot when it comes to longevity. If you buy one that has been well taken care of, it will last as long as any other car. You will likely need to change accessory parts like starters, alternators, etc. Gas mileage varies, V8 models can average in the low 20s if driven easy, or get as bad as 15 if driven hard and in the city all the time. I have heard of them getting as high as 27-28 when cruising on the highway at 70mph.

It is a myth that Hondas last 300,000 miles. Some do, but most don't, just like any other car.
