  1. These costs vary wildly.  What state are you in?  I am guessing you will need anywhere from $15 - $30,000 YR.

    Big chunk of change, huh?

Good luck!  I suggest you check the online website of the school you wish to attend and get a more direct idea of what you need....and have you thought of financial aid?  There is a lot of it available...especially if you are a single mother....smiling

  2. My university cost $3000 per semester or about $6500 a year for an off-campus student. I belive a dorm room would cost another 2500 per year or more.

If you want to go to college, don't let the money hold you back. Follow your dreams and worry about the money later when you have a great full-time job.

Try to get stafford loans, which are through the government and try not to get much more than you actually need.

Also, if you are active in clubs/organizations, sports, greek life, or volunteering you could get alot of scholarships!

  3. I don't care how much it is, it's too much.   And, don't let folks airily convince you that upwards of $10,000 a year is "okay" because it's not.

The federal government has limits on the amounts you can borrow for a reason. If you can't attend college borrowing their maximums, then you need to find a better school.  Private student loans are EVIL.
