  1. Usually $75-$110....depending on how many CFL bulbs used in the home.

Chicago had started to go green, and also Los Angeles.

  2. Hard to tell avg now. MY jumped $40 in a month for new fuel charges...used to be about $60 for 2bd 2bth twnhome.

  3. It depends on the region you live in, but a general rule of thumb is 1000 kWh. The dollar figure is going to flucuate wildly based on the power company's rates.

  4. An average is really hard to figure.   My bill now is $8 per month.   When I lived in the north east and had electric heat and hot water it was around $500/month.   Power was also three times as expensive there than in north west.   Some of the outer islands were paying around 50c/kwh.

  5. I don't know about the national average. My electric bill in the summer last year was about $175, I've managed to get it to under $100 this summer. I installed a PV solar array, so I should be down to about $20.

  6. Ours is about $300 a month or so. We live in the Keys.
