The team with the lowest average is the Marlins with 16,576.

Depends on the team. If a team has sucked for years, you won't see that many. For Brewers its about 40,000.

The latest overall attendance figures in 2008 are 24,225 per game for Florida through 138 games (the lowest average attendance) to 44,054 per game for NY Yankees through 139 games (the highest average attendance).

Note: The figures from the above answer (Tiff) are correct but are for home games only. The overall totals in my answer include both home and road games.
