How much on average would I expect to pay per hour for a childminder for my toddler (under 2)?

Thank you!

  1. Firstly make sure the childminder you choose is registered and you can see all their certificates. I am a registered childminder myself and I charge £15 for a full day (7am-5.30pm) or £65 for full week, mon-fri. I hope this helps.

  2. i had a woman quote me £200 per 5 day week to mind my kid 8 am till 3 pm thats about £5.30 an hour or $10 an hour

  3. between 6 and 8 pounds. My mum stopped childminding 2 years ago, she used to charge £6.50 an hour

  4. for a trained one approx. 20 an hr [in aus].....if just some teen 10...what i got paid when i was a teen [10 and hr] ..now work in childcare and get just over 20 an hr ....make sure you get good references and check why they dont mind that child anymore [sometimes people will give a good reference to rid themself of that person,sadly]....ring the reference dont assume its as good as it says.

and if someone seems perfect double check it all .....not being over the top just when it comes to kids we should hire the best and we should especially for my own [only mum and one mate care for my kids when i have to work late....cos i wouldnt trust anyone else ]

  5. For a teenager in Britain, around £3-6 an hour depending on age/ability.

  6. If in UK rates will vary across the country anywhere from £3 per hour up to £10! All local authorities in UK have to have a children's information service (CIS) these will have lists of registered childminders and some also have info on fees, but you will definitely be able to find out from them where your local childminders are

    happy hunting...
