  4. In January the average retail cost for electricity was 10.2 cents  per kilowatt hour (KWH) for residential. Commercial, industrial, and transportation was less. For all sectors the average cost was 9.44 cents per kilowatt hour (KWH) .

    There is a wide range of residential costs among the various states from Hawaii  at 28.53 cents to  Idaho at  6.34 cents per KWH. .

  5. That's a darn good question - I'm not sure.  But in CT we're paying about 17.5 cents.  I would have thought the average was >2 cents.
