What is the average price for airfare roundtrip to hawaii from florida?

I'm possibly going and I want to make sure I get a good deal. So I'm asking here for people with experience traveling between florida and hawaii what the average price would be so I know what kind of prices I'm looking for. Thank you!!

Coming from Virginia, almost close to Florida, because of the East Coast locale, it would be around $1400 per person, rounded up, flying economy.  The prices are pretty high lately because of "rising gas prices", if you could find a cheaper flight, I would recommend taking a flight from Florida to a lay over like Cleveland (the most likely of layovers), then taking a different airline from Cleveland to Hawaii.  This way, you're actually paying for two different airline tickets, but the cost is quite cheaper than paying for a whole round trip ticket.  For the trip back, I would do the same, except reverse the order.  So in total, itll be 4 airline tickets you are paying for, but in the long run, you'll save a couple hundred or more. My aunt flies like this all the time from the East Coast to Hawaii and it costs her about $1000 total, round trip.  Don't ever pay roundtrip! You'll lose money and more than likely, you'll probably have NO money once you're in paradise!

Visit YMT Vacations, I went for 15 days back in 2005 and saw 4 islands, around 1500 per person and spent like 2000 there on food, souvenirs, skydiving, helicopter ride, etc. It's the only way to go!!!  I can't wait to go back!  We spent 2000 and that was going "all out", email me if you need more info, good luck!
