What is the average price for rural daycare centers?

I am starting a daycare center and I was just wondering how much I should charge.

In rural Ks where I live the going rate is $100/week for infants and $85/week for 18 months and up:)

I taught preschool in a rural town in North-Eastern California. Our rates were not much lower than in the suburbs. Maybe $1  less per hour.

To New York Gal - not everyone who lives in a rural area is a stay at home mom. You must be a total city girl that has no clue as to life outside of the city.

I doubt if there are daycare centers in rural areas. I've never seen one.  It doesn't mean they don't exist, somewhere in the USA.

Many moms are work-at-home, stay-at-home moms.

It depends if your child is going part time or full time, the age of the child (infant, toddler, school-age), and what type setting they center is placed in (at home, corporation, etc.).  There is one out my way that is about $600/mo. for a toddler that is full time.  I have worked at one in the suburbs and it is $1,400/mo. but it is high end and has a lot included.  

I recommend email or visiting a few different centers or at home places and get their prices and what is included.  From there decide that you are going to provide and what price range it will be.
