What is the average price for surf board?

also, which ones are good for present and are there any websites where i can buy them from? good ones?

Generic ones sell for $200 ~$300 new and you could get them at Costco these days. (Assuming you live in an area where surfing is prevalent.) Custom boards will run you at least $450 and most likely more. If you're a beginner or still learning, try Craigslist.org for used ones. You can find a decent custom used board for below $300 on a good day.

It depends on where you are buying the surf board.  If you buy it from a surfboard factory in Surigao del Sur, Philippines, you would definitely get it at a lower price than from outlets outside of the Philippines.

The Surigao made surfboards are great.  They have innovations there that are not generally available. I cannot reveal the websites selling them since the factory is an Original Equipment Manufacturer and supplies them to several outlets in and out of the Philippines.

Check out 9:Fish Surfboards at http://www.9fishsurf.com.  You can buy their boards online (and have them shipped for $79) if there aren't any shops nearby that carry their boards.  They have great fish surfboards (which generally cost more because of how they're made) for around $475.  If you're looking to buy a board for a present, a fish is a good choice since it has lots of the advantages of a longboard and shortboard.  If you're not sure what to get, you can email or call them and they'll help you out.  The guys there really know their stuff and helped me get a board that was perfect for me.
