depends on what part of NC you are looking in it ranges depending on if you are near a city or out in the country. I live in the counrty & can buy 2 and half acre land for around $10,000

Well it really depends on where you are looking. Obviously the mountains and coast are going to be more than the piedmont. A acre here in the mountains, but in the valley can run around average $8000-$12000. Remember that the further up you go, the higher the price.
