What is the average salary in Israel? How is the cost of living?

If I save $10,000 ( 32,560 Israeli New Shekels) is that enough money to live off for at least a year? If not, what is a good amount to save for a year or two in Israel? What is the average apartments rent, what are the monthly bills like, how expensive is food?

Why would you want to live there? It's probably pretty cheap and thats probably enough but can you add details and tell me why you want to live there.

Israel supports Aliya through something called Sal Klita ("absorption baskets").

It includes living support for the first 6 months and rent for the first 12 months for those.

Its not cheap at all. Sure you can live on 10.000$ if you share an apartment with 2 roomates and eat ramen 24/7 and dont have a family to support, but if you do, you need more money.

I also want to make aliah, see you there!

Average salary is probably around 2000$ a month.
