Most of the top riders will be paid approx €5 million per year and make double that in off track & personal sponsors.

As an example, Colin Edwards has just signed for The Tech 3 Team again for €2.5 million. No doubt, Michilen will have put up at least  Ã¢Â‚¬1 Million of that.

So I guess the average would be about €1.5 Million. But its hard to work out when riders like Rossi are on a reported €9 million just from Yamaha. The rest of his deals will take him to over €25 million by the end of the year.

Well I can't tell you their salary, but let me tell you that John Hoppkins got paid 4 billion dollars to switch from Suzuki to Kawasaki. Just to put that into perspective. So they make a lot.
