  1. My son is 3 and he goes to bed at 10 p.m. and sleeps until 7:30-8 a.m. Sometimes he has a nap during the day, and sometimes he doesn't; the nap lasts for about 1 hr. 30 min.

  2. many (especially those closer to 3) nap; many (especially those closer to 4) don't.  some nap for an hour, some for three.  some go to bed at 7, some at 9.  some wake up at 5, some at 8.  some sleep the "recommended" amount of time, some thrive on less sleep, some definitely need more.

most (but not all) of my kids have napped for about an hour or two at 3 and slept about 10 hours at night.

you can tell if they're getting enough sleep ... if they aren't, they get cranky and often (counterintuitively) very hyper.

  3. All are different, I know some who sleep from 9pm to 8 pm. My 4 year old won't fall asleep till 10 pm wakes up 2 times a night and gets up at 7 am

  4. It really depends on your child - She/he could wake up many many times/per night. Some may take long naps and sleep totally through the 12 hr night.( sleeeeepy). Or in another case your child may  sleep 10 hrs and not take naps. So depending on basicaly how active  or calm your child is will tell about her sleeping pattern. So I would recomend putting your child to bed at 7:00 and  when She/He wakes up ypu will know how many hrs and that is  a start. For naps Just put He/She in crib and if it sleeps and if it does'nt.

    Hope it helps ♥ ♥

  5. My 3 1/2 year old no longer takes naps, but I put her to bed everyday for quiet time for an hour.  She'll play quietly in bed with her stuffed animals, and on the rare occasion will fall asleep.  Otherwise, she's in bed by 7pm and sleeps til 7 am +.  A good 12 hours of sleep at night is key.

  6. they say children need at least 12hrs sleep at night, and only a hrs sleep in the day. but all children are differant. my girls would wake every morning at 7am, then would t then around 1pm have a nap for about a hr. at 6pm have a bath ready for them to be put to be at 7.30pm. all children are differant, the trick is to try and make mornings boaring and make afternoon's play time. it worked for me.

  7. my daughter is 3 1/2 yr between7/8pm weekdays and she sleeps through til 6/7ambut weekends is 8/9 still sleeps til6/7am so dont understand that she sometimes needs a nap about 3ish after nursery but if possible i try and distract her as it upsets the routine x

  8. My son will be 3 in a few weeks, also i have a four year  old....

Neither of my boys have a nap in the afternoon, they haven't for a long time.....

They both go to bed at 8pm then dont rise again untill 8 the next morning....

I dont hear anything from them during the night unless one of them is up to go to the toilet...
