  2. Montreal gets very hot in late July and early August. Temperatures get up over 90F (30-35C).

However, the heat is not as big a factor as the humidity. It is very humid in Montreal area around that time, and it makes the heat unbearable for some.

That is one reason why you find that Montrealers will install pools in their yards, even though they can only be used for about four months of the year. Many houses will have air conditioners running all summer long, or if you are not lucky enough to have AC, they will sleep in the basement where it is cooler!

  3. In wiki it says around 25, but I'd be most likely to say 30-35°C. Sometimes worst, sometimes better. Downtown Montreal is usually worst because of the high buildings (almost no wind some days).

I remember that last summer (or the one before), caleches (you know, the kart pulled by horses, touring around town, showing mainly historical things to tourist?) were prohibited, because it was too dangerous to make the horses work in these conditions.

(Sorry for my weird sentences: I'm french :p)
