  1. As little as they can get away with. My friend used to work 6 days a week 50 hours a week and only bring home £11,000 a year


  2. sainsbury's pay at least minimum wage to those under 18 aswell, it's fairly rubbish pay but generally better than most shop work. at 16 (2yrs ago) i started on £4.65 when I left this year being over 18 i was at £7.90 an hour...although thay no longer pay a sunday/holiday premium to most new staff

  3. usually these places only ever pay minimum wage.... or, if your lucky, a few pence over minimum wage.

    sorry but we can only blame all the polish and other immigrants who work for our supermarkets as they don't mind working for peanuts, otherwise we could demand more for our hard working british work force
