  1. household usage of water per person is approximately 100 gallons per day per person-uses include washing, transporting wastes, drinking, food preperation, watering of lawns and gardens, heating and cooling. overall, it is estimated that US water utilities deliver over 30 billion gallons of water daily.

  2. No one has an exact answer to your questions. Not 2 persons, lets say, here, have the same style of life. For one, some people have 1 shower a week while others might have 1 or even 2 a day. Now there's dishes washing, laundry, drinking, freezing. In other countries, some barely have water if ever it's drinkable. All in all, there's no real answer to your questions, next time, think before you ask something! ! !

  3. Thirty five years ago I researched wastewater generation and sewage treatment capacity.  The rules of thumb for wastewater generation back then were 100 gallons per day per person, of which 50-75 might actually be generated in a household.

This was based on about 25-40 gal/day for toilet flushing (@5 gal/flush) about 25 gal/day for a shower, and the rest for dishwashing, clotheswashing, and all other uses.  With today's low-flush toilets @ 1.5 gal/flush, the total could be quite a bit lower.

  4. There are lots of international organizations that deal with water problems.  Water shortage is a much larger problem than any "global warming" issue that people dream up.  People in the USA don't have a clue about water problems because 100% of the USA has access to drinkable water.

Here is a site that has answers to many of the questions you asked.  It has several links to data, graphs, and reports conducted by The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI).

    http://www.ifpri.org/media/water2025.htm

Based on the info from this site.  they claim that the global average for Urban water usage per person with a connection to water was 43.4 cubic meters per year.  Which equals 11,465.06 gallons a year. Which is 31.41 gallons a day.

In urban areas without a connection to water usage was 24.8 cubic meters a year.  Which is 6551.4 gallons a year which is 17.94 gallons a day.

  5. I work with the Water Department of San Diego, California.  When we design a water main, we have to figure in the demands on the system, including fire fighting, irrigation, and domestic usage.

Our figures for per capita usage (an average compiled from past water bills for single family dwellings) are 150 gallons of water per person per day.  This includes ALL uses of water per person.  Drinking, showering, toilet usage, clothes washing, etc.

Some conservation measures that can be taken are low-flow shower heads and toilets, reduced water capacity washing machines and dishwashers, etc.

Waste water can be separated into sewage and "gray" water.  The gray water comes from sinks and showers and this can collected and treated on site and used for irrigating hotel grounds.  Sewage (toilet water) is collected in the city sewer system and treated at sites constructed for this purpose and also used for irrigation purposes, with careful measures to distinguish faucets and outlets as NON-potable water.

Public perception does not yet go so far as to consider using recycled water for potable purposes.

  6. The medics state that you ought to drink at least 8 glasses of water every day to keep the viscosity of the blood fine thin and flow-able Then the tricky question on the usage is how many cars and the pets and the roofs, rooms  you have and are you marries and how many kids you have. This all depends on no1 how you want others to live and how you want other to live. No2 I heat your own consumption will overall go up and in winter you will not be washing the cars so the consumption will go down. All depend on where you are. If there is no water available as in the desert you r consumption is near zero and you start looking at the weather to let the cloud s pour on you like Tsunami but it is no whewre.
