  1. If you're referring to the area with all the country bars (such as the famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge) that would be Lower Broadway.

    There's a back door at Tootsies that Hank Williams used to use to cross the alley from the Ryman to have a few quick ones back when the Grand Ole Opry was there and before Hank was kicked out for drinking.

    I stayed at the Sheraton which is nearby and found it to be pleasant.
