  1. the voting consists of puncher's overall statistics.. accuracy, skills, strengths, wins, agility in terms of pound-for-pound.. but in my opinion.. its worthless.. u can't compare chagaev, peters, toney or rahman with the likes of pacquiao marquez barrera and morales.. coz those fight will never gonna happen.. so there's no point for that p4p thing.. =p

  2. Quality of opponents/Knockout %/ Record/ ABC Belts, the poster above me is right. It does favor lighter fighters, I have always felt they got an unfair advantage.

  3. Who ever has more wins at more different weights

  4. i think its a combination of the quality of fighters that this person has beaten, with the characteristics of this fighter....it gets difficult to measure because you have quality fighters who dont have as much depth in their division which is the case for someone like david haye, but you got other guys who get to showcase their skills against many great fighters which is why manny pacquiao is the p4p champ

  5. There is no basis.  It's pretty much a bogus title because it favors the light fighters (I may get crucified for this answer because I answer the "who is the greatest pound for pound title?" questions too).  Heavy fighters are very much at the disadvantage because they weigh the most.  Who is gonna say the heaviest guy is the best pound for pound?  Not to mention that carrying alll that extra weight takes away from speed which is one of the criteria that people use for the best pound for pound fighter.  Since the heavyweights are giving up speed for power by being heavier they obviously have more power.  But then people turn around and say of course a heavy weight has more power he weighs more, look at how strong this little 50 lb guy is for his size he is the best p4p.  It is a false title that shouldn't be applied to anyone, but, and here's where I become a hypocrite, if you ask me who the best p4p is I'd have to say Mayweather Jr.
