no such thing as bean dip in our culture. i'm not mexican, i'm a salvy (look it up if you don't know) but bean dip is something made by some person who figured they needed something to draw in latinos. but most latinos i know don't eat bean dip, they eat salsa. the closest thing to bean dip we have is re fried beans. but once again, it's not made for dipping chips in but more as a side dish. it's our mashed potatoes.
