I'm not sure, this just sort of crossed my mind...

I forget how the beginning goes! I'm not looking for a summery. I'm looking for the exact words. It was something about a rainy day, and Sally and Conrad were looking out the window... but in Dr.Suess's words, I'm blanked!

Does anyone remember?

Oh, and would you mind answering my other question?

  1. The Sun Did Not Shine

It Was Too Wet To Play

So We Sat In The House

On That Cold Cold Wet Day

  2. Just to let you know, the name Conrad didn't show up until the movie. The boy in the book never had a name.

    The sun did not shine.

It was too wet to play.

So we sat in the house

All that cold, cold, wet day.

    I sat there with Sally,

    We sat there, we two.

And I said, "How I wish

    We had something to do!"

    Too wet to go out

And too cold to play ball.

So we sat in the house.

    We did nothing at all.
