What is the benefit of a Cosworth inlet manifold with a throttle body?

in place of an oem inlet manifold? Would their be a noticeable difference in performance? If so, what would it be?

Well, certainly it's a high performance part. But if you just slap that on, and nothing else, it could actually run worse. A high-flow exhaust system at the very least would be appropriate. Porting the heads and a more aggressive camshaft would also help to take advantage of the increased flow potential of the other parts. If you do all that, then bigger injectors might come in handy, to prevent fuel starvation.

Other than those obvious suggestions though, I really haven't got much to go on.
