  1. Deffinetely do not go on Carnival if you want to enjoy yourself.  I have been on 7 Cruises and have found PRINCESS and CELEBRITY to be the most enjoyable, luxurious, safe cruises.

When I traveled with Carnival, there were too many children, and too many rowdy party-goers. The halls at night were noisy with children and drunks. Although I did enjoy traveling to the islands and the insanely cheap price Carnival (and Disney) offered to m, I did not enjoy myself NEARLY as much as I did on Princess and Celebrity.

However, with Celebrity and Princess, they provide great restaurants, world-class food, amazing spas, less children, a more upper-class crowd (although the cruise itself was not too pricy).

Another great line to check out would be Royal Caribbean, although I can not speak from personal experience about this line because I did not go on this cruise. However, my parents went on RC and said that they enjoyed themselves a lot, but not nearly as much as their many voyages on Princess and Celebrity.

I hope I was able to help!

  2. I would suggest Oceania. It is the bridge between the suites of Holland America and the 6 star cruises like Crystal, Seabourne, and Silversea--Although princess is very nice (they are one of my favorites) they are in no way a LUXURY crusie line. I have cruised on Oceania and they are first class all the way.

  3. Princess.

  4. OLIVIA Cruises

  5. I WORK FOR A TRAVEL AGENCY, WHO USES DISCOVERY CRUISE LINE FOR THEIR TRAVELING AS FAR AS CRUISE WISE. DISCOVERY IS NOT EXPENSIVE AND THE HAVE SOME GREAT FOOD AND A LOT OF FUN ENTERTAINMENT ABOARD THE SHIP. NOT TO MENTION THE CASINO THAT'S ALSO ON THE SHIP!!! I KNOW I WENT ON THE CRUISE MYSELF OVER TO THE BAHAMAS WITH THE COMPANY.

  6. I agree with Oceania. I just came back from a cruise on the Regatta. It is smaller and more intimate than Princess and Holland America. It has single seating with a number of restaurant choices. Food is excellent. Don't expect Seabourn, Silversea, or Crystal, but you would be paying hundreds of dollars per day less than they charge. Oceania has excellent entertainment, wonderful itineraries, and are well organized. You will not have formal nights or big production entertainment, but you will get a very good value for your money.

  7. i went to the southern caribbean in one of th new ships from Carnival . It was a huge, elegant boat, interesting places, and not expensive.

  8. I have been on about 20 cruises on four different cruise lines; Princess, Celebrity, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean.  The majority of my cruises have been on Norwegian and Royal Caribbean so I have been on many of their ships.  The other cruise lines that normally compete with these cruise lines for passengers are Carnival, Disney, Cunard, and Holland America.

There are two things I think you should consider when you decide what's the best, most luxurious cruise for you, the beauty and comfort of the ship and the food and service.

Its been my experience that Princess, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean have the prettiest and most comfortable ships.  I have heard that Holland America is also in that same category but I have not been on their ships yet, but do have a  cruise booked on them right now.  Cunard cruise line has two ship which are also grand.

I also think that Princess, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity have the best food and service with Celebrity being just a cut above the others in service.

So if you are looking for great cruise lines to go on any of these would provide the best and first class service that you are looking for.  Now these are all the second tier of cruise lines as there are some like Crystal, Oceania and Silverseas that are considered top of the line and have cruise fares starting at about $4K to $5K per person for a 7 day cruise.  That is significantly more than the ones I listed about where you can get a 7 day cruise for under $1K per person.  Even balcony cabins and suites can be had on certain cruises for under $2K.

So Princess, Celebrity, Holland America, Royal Caribbean and Cunard would be your best bets for what you are looking for.

  9. Princess cruise is very classy and up scale. The cabins are great and the ships are very  beautiful. You will be treated like a king on there ships. The food is outstanding, and their shore excursions are some of the best in the industry. I won't cruise with any other cruise line.
