What is the best 46 lcd tv out for $2200 or less?

Any day of the week this could be any one of them. Prices are now set to be so volatile because of the glut of brands sizes and models that the best could be any one of them. If what you really mean is "what is the most reliable" then that too is very subjective. In my time a TV tech I have had to repair so called "top Brand name" sets on the shop floor or even in the manufacturers factory workshop before they ever found a buyer!

Remember even Rolls Royce has accredited service agencies...........why .......because they never fail? .........I don't think so!

If anyone tells you what they think is best and you buy it and the one you get fails after a short time, who will you blame?

Thankfully electronic equipment is much more reliable today than it ever was. Also the use of same components parts is rife throughout the industry. If you choose to buy a set that has a brand name as yet unheard of, some caution might apply as  unlike the well known brands who have established agency repairers to cover warranty and out of warranty repairs, the "New Branders" either may only be in the process of creating such backup, or because of el cheapo selling prices figure that the buyer can wait!

The best one to buy is the one that fits in with your preferred overall home entertainment setup, meets the specs you decide are imperative for you, that you can afford, and are prepared to pay for as to the cost of any out of warranty repair.

46" LCD: The best performance and reliability in a 46" LCD is the Sony Bravia series. For your budget, get one of these, starting with the first one, if you can find it for $2200. If not, step down to the next one listed, and so on.
