They are all very good bikes. In my opinion KTM makes the best all around 85 especially if you plan to ride MX and trails. There is only one big difference between the models. The KTM, Suzuki and Kawasaki all use power valves which give them smoother power delivery. The Yamaha and Honda do not use power valves. If you are a fast rider that can keep it in the higher RPM's at all times the CR or YZ would be fine.

As far as the "best"..you generally will get what you pay for....KTM, Honda,Suzuki,and Kawasaki all make really great bikes...but Honda is stopping production of their 85's since they have come out with the new 150r...a lot of the other companies are going to be moving away from the two strokes to....you might want to keep this in mind......

as far as "easy" goes...with anything when starting out it takes time to get use to whatever it is...if you jump on a bike at full throttle  and have never ridden before..more than likely you will get hurt........and if you get on a bike that is way to big for your body size and experience ....you have a greater chance of getting hurt..by the way, if you have never ridden before keep in mind these bikes all have power bands (it is a little bit tricky and will take some time to get used to it) . If you are talking about "easy" to maintain..than that would not be two strokes,which 85's are, but a four stroke.........

If you are just going to do some trail riding you might want to consider getting a four stroke ....which I would recommend Honda..they are tough bikes and don't require a lot of  maintenance......

my brother has yamaha.

i would go with that.

honda is having recalls on there race bike 150.

and you never know with their 85.
