Definitely not the West Coke Eagirls.  

My  heart tells me to tell you that Sydney is the best team, but history and my head tell you that Adelaide is probably a more accurate answer, I think they have 16 flags ( championships, premiere-ships). The history of footy in Adelaide and the history of the team just stand out. I'll be a swans fan till I die, but Adelaide will always have my respect.

Even though it kills me to say it (because I hate them), West Coast Eagles are the best team at the moment, they won the premiership last year, are currently undefeated this year and are sitting on top of the table.  

In my perfect world the Brisbane Lions would be the best team, they were from 2001-2004 and hopefully will be again before too long.

Without doubt the most talented team is the West Coast Eagles with their phenomenal midfield. But as the cliché goes, a champion team with always defeat a team of champions. The champion team has to be the Sydney Swans who, after an off colour Grand Final, are disciplined enough to go all the way this year. Because of the plethora of stars in Sydney’s forward line, they will be tough to shut down. Let’s hope the skilful but undisciplined party boys of the West get what they deserve, nothing.

Would like to say Adelaide, but until they beat the West Coast Eagles, I have to be honest and say their not quite there.  So at the moment: WC 1st, Adel 2nd, Sydney 3rd, Port 4th and possibly Essendon 5th. (but hopefully by the last Sat in Sept I can say Adelaide!)

Currently the best AFL  team is Sydney .   The swans won  the flag in 05 ,missed last year by 1 point, produced the Brownlow Medalist, and this season are 2/1 as we approach R4.  Sydney are consistent, professional, have an excellent work rate, are  well coached, non arrogant, work to their game plan,  and above all they are " disciplined" both on and off the field and are wonderful role models for young people to follow .
