What is the best Dean Koontz book to read.?

I like a fast paced book. A real page turner.

Several I thought were fast paced and really good include:

-Watchers

-The Darkest Evening of the Year

-Odd Thomas (I enjoyed the whole series - Odd Thomas, Forever Odd, Brother Odd, Odd Hours - but thought the first and last were the fastest pace)

-Life Expectancy

-The Face

-From the Corner of His Eye (very long but very good)

-Phantoms (if you enjoy horror...this was very intense)

-The Good Guy

There are others I've really enjoyed, but those I've mentioned are, to me, some of the page turners.

i liked the one with the dog on the cover... i forget the name. i like animals so this was pretty cool.

i'm pretty sure dean koontz wrote velocity and ... intensity?  2 books with names like that... they are yellow (the paper back versions) i started reading one of them (i'm pretty sure its velocity) and i had to stop reading it. and i NEVER stop reading books. it scared the c**p out of me.  one of those torture stories. way too creepy and graphic for me.  but if you like that type of thing (movies like saw, hostel, etc. - i can't watch them) you'd like the book i guess.

For fast-paced page turners, The Husband and The Good Guy would probably be the closest to your description. However, he has written many very good books that will keep you turning pages regardless of the pace.

I would recommend the following books, which are among my favorites of his: Watchers, Odd Thomas series (Odd Thomas, Forever Odd, Brother Odd, Odd Hours), The Husband, The Good Guy and Life Expectancy. Many of his other books are quite enjoyable, but I would start with the ones above.
