What is the best European country to visit in April?

We are planning a honeymoon for next April. Obviously, we'd rather have relatively warm weather than cold, but if anything particularly neat is happening anywhere, we'll go where the action is.

The Netherlands is a good choice near the end of April. The tulips are in bloom then and are typically at their peak. There are always interesting things to see and do in Amsterdam and other cities in the country. Queen's Day is on the 30th - a huge, country-wide party.

It's usually nice here in Italy in April. It's a good time to visit because there aren't huge crowds of tourists.

I think Kiev Ukraine! It is so beautiful and the weather is so great! The flowers will be out, I love Kiev in April and May, and Kiev is so cheep, Western Europe is more money!

Not renowned for its romance but Malta is great as long as you are not looking for a beach holiday - there aren't very many on the island.

If you like history, historic buildings and fantastically friendly people Malta is a must. We usually stay at the Fortina in Sliema ( http://www.hotelfortina.com/ ).

There is plenty to do there during the day and if your looking for a bit of night life Paceville, set between St Georges and St Julians bay is the place to go.

Public transport is very cheap and entertaining.
