Its okay to mention software that are not free too. I guess I will try to purchase them.

  1. A very good Photo-Editing software available is Adobe PhotoShop, but only a 30-day trial for PhotoShop is available for free. To try it out go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads

A free alternative to PhotoShop is GIMP. While it is as powerful as PhotoShop, it's a bit harder to use. If you can't get your head around it, check some tutorials on YouTube:

    Hope that helps.

  2. www.irfanview.com

Very simple, with a small learning curve - and has a ton of add-on's and plug-ins if you want to upgrade.

And it's totally free.  I've been using it for years and just love it for resizing, enhancing my ebay pictures.

  4. GIMP for Windows

GIMP is a popular open-source image editor originally developed for Unix/Linux. Often lauded as the "free Photoshop," it does have an interface and features similar to Photoshop. Because it's volunteer-developed beta software, stability and frequency of updates could be an issue; however, many happy users report using GIMP for Windows without significant problems.

  5. I agree with Sam Adams, GIMP is probably the best.  It's great as a novice tool, and even better as you progress with it. On the site there are some pages that tell you how to get better. My brother uses it and can do all sorts of things, and they look amazing.

  6. i dont know any softwares but like www.lunapic.com is pretty good i use it for myspace all the time.

  7. here is a list of free photos editing software

    GIMP

    IrfanView

    Paint.NET

    PhotoScape

    FastStone Image Viewer

  8. I recommend GIMP, it has many features of Photoshop and costs nothing.

GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.

Other free alternatives would be Paint.net or Picasa from Google. You can check out the top rated free image editing software by clicking on the first link.
