Four of us are making a trip to London for a week and we are staying in Slough. Last time I was in London (2004) I ate fish and chips at three places that were various take-away establishments. The fish had the skin on it still, had bones, wasn't crispy and it wasn't at all what I expected. Did I have bad luck all three times or is this traditional English fish and chips? In the U.S. fish and chips are skin, head, tail and bone free, golden, crispy nuggets of delicious fish with thick, fat fries.
Please include the establishment name/info with your comment so I can map it. Thanks!
