My nephew made me a flower pot for Mother's day and it had a plant in it, which died shortly after because I placed it in my office. I work in an office with NO natural light at all only flourescent bulbs overhead. We do not have alot of A/C my office is cooled with a fan. What would be the best plant to put into the small pot?

  1. a mother in law's tongue plant....i have a brown thumb, and I've kept mine alive for over 2 years now (it just recently had a baby too).  I work in a bank, so this plant definitely thrives in an office environment (just make sure you dont overwater it, doesnt need much at all, like once every 3 weeks or so)

  2. pothos

  3. any spider plant would survive in this enviroment as well.

  4. pothos and philodendrons are great low light plants that creep or hang down but a couple of interesting low light plants are the purple passion plant or any plants in the pilea family I have the moon valley pilea and it is funky all of my customers want to know what it is very easy to grow and very unusual.

  5. Pothis ~ Cactus

  6. African violets do well with florescent light and do not require too much water

  7. Philodendrons or Pothos...they survive with artifical light and neglect.
