  1. Avoid Alliance Francaise if you can and look for something smaller and more personal. Check out Language School International (LSI). Avoid anywhere with a class size over 8!

  2. Alliance Française -

There should be not more than 15 people in a class.  However, by far the best way to learn is by being with the French people themselves, particularly with those who don't speak English or your native languagek, what ever it maybe.  Despite your mistakes and frustrations, they are very patient and willing to help when it comes to their language knowing that you are making ever effort to learn.

  3. I'm actually currently studying at the Alliance Francaise in Paris, and am having a pretty great experience.  I am 19, but my class is about 10-12 people, and it's a mix of all ages.  Everyone seems to enjoy the class and the age differences aren't at all an issue. I would recommend the Alliance Francaise to anyone wanting to learn French, the professor I  have is very nice and helpful, and everyone seems like they are learning a lot from the class.
