What is the best GPS system out there?

i know for sure TOMTOM and GARMIN are good brands but i want to know what is the best models out there and that are not too much of a cost!! please help.. thanks

garmin magellan and tomtom are among the most reliable portable navigation systems

garmin has always been my favorite of the three giving the most detailed maps and best routing calculations.

Best Garmin models:

nuvi 200 $150

nuvi 205 $200

nuvi 260 $250

nuvi 255 $300

If you want something really basic, the nuvi 200 is fine.  The 205 has more bells and whistles, but I don't know if it is worth the extra $50.  All the models will give spoken directions, but only the 260 and 255 in this list will speak the name of the street.  The 255 can use optional traffic data services.
