  1. The best sleeping bag to get is made by Softie. Have a look on the sleeping bag and it will have a green lable on the bottom with the temperature range. For the summer it's best to go for one that goes down to 5 degrees or if you think you might use it in the winter go for 0 degrees.

  2. In the summer - a one or two season bag.

  3. they are usually rated in seasons, mine is a 3 season mummy bag,  -10 degrees celcius...you should be o.k with something like that....<^><...

  4. Depends. I have a 2 season Vango bag that I use most of the year and thats good for me (temperature rating down to 0 deg C), but for my GF I amgoing to get her a 4 season bag - she feels the cold at night (bag rated down to -20 deg C).

I would perhaps recommend a 3 season bag (to -5 deg C) - they have thicker insulation and are a bit better at padding you against the ground. You should be able to pick one of these up from about £25 and upwards
