  1. There are a good many of them.

several folks said Eidelweiss in Ft Worth and it is very good, but for me not worth the 1 hour drive.

Kuby's and Bavarian Grill are good as well.  A couple of other suggestions.

The Old Monk - it's a bar, but has some pretty good german food - and good beer.  Off of Henderson in dallas.

Jurg's in downtown plano - different style that most of these others, not quite as bavarian.

Henk's black forest bakery - closes at 6 during the week, but has an accordian player on weekends.  Very small, but everybody knows everybody there.  Behind Half Price Books.  I think the street is Blackburn.

  2. edelwiess in ft worth.

  3. Kuby's in Dallas

  4. German Food varies from region to region. When you are talking about German food, most people think of Baverian German Food. Sausage, Brats, Knockwurst, Sauerkraut, Red Cabbage, and Schnitzel.

For this type of German Food the Best in DFW is located in Fort Worth. Edelweiss German Resturant.

The owner is Bernard Schnerzinger, a german native who open Edelweiss in 1967.

I have been eating there since I was in High School in the 80's. They have a live in-house band that plays every night.

The are open Tue - Sat at 5pm. The band starts around 7.

  5. Kuby's----- Snider Plaza in Dallas!

  6. Bavarian Grill is pretty good, out in Plano

  7. Edelweiss on the Benbrook traffic circle in Ft.Worth. The food is awesome and the staff are so friendly you feel as if you are visiting someone's home. They also have great live oom-pa music to add to the atmosphere.

  8. edelwiess in Fort Worth is the bomb!

They are closed on random days though, so call before you go out there.
