What is the best Gundam model kit to buy if you are a beginner?

I never built anything from model kits and after watching a few episodes of Mobil Suit Gundam 00, I'm now interested in buying a kit. But I'm worried that with all the colors to put on it im going to mess it up. And to show how late I'm in in this hobby area I'm 18+ years old. So I would have no experience at all.

  1. Actually any type will do, since the instructions are easy to follow. With respect to colors - this depends. If you want to learn to paint your models from the get-go, then start off with a First Grade kit - they have the letters "FG" on theie boxes. They are cheap, and many modelers practice on them before graduating on to painting more complex kits. If you want detail, without the hassle of painting too much, try a higher grade, such as High Grade (HG) or 1/100. Don't worry about lack of experience. I started out when I was 20 or so.
