What is the best Hard Disc Drive camcorder with the highest resolution?

I have a JVC MG 37 and have recordered with it. But have found the resolution isn't all that great when burned to DVD. What is the best resolution HDD camcorder avaliable?

The BEST resolution HDD camcorder will be a MiniDV tape based camcorder using an external HDD from a company like Firestore. Their hard drives record in DV or HDV format just like miniDV tape.
