  1. Why go to france for italian food.

    Go to italy.

  2. the neal street restaurant in covent garden (the orignal carluccios) is pretty amazing.

if you're prepared to go a bit out of the centre, then my all time favourite italian resto ever (!!) is blackpepper on lavender hill (take the overland train to clapham junction, its about 10 mins walk from there) - their food is so fresh and tasty , esp their homemade pasta - http://www.blackpeppersw11.co.uk/ - it may look tacky but its excellent food!

  3. used to be Centrale  on the edge of SoHo, but I think that is now closed.......Pollo?  Again Soho, shabby, cheap but kind of fun and you can take your own wine.

  4. Uncle Lou's Pasta and Grill

  5. Vascos and Piero's Pavilion on Poland Street (between Oxford street and Great Marlborough Street is without a doubt the best in London +44 207 437 8774

The service is friendly without crowding you, Vasco and Piero are both still active in the restaurant, as well as having their heads cast in bronze on the side.. the atmosphere in here is GREAT

BUT, the food - that's the bit you care about right? The food is stunning - it's not about spag bol and lasagna, it;s about real Italian fare cooked by Italians who are passionate about your dining experience. I pretty much would say go with calamari to start - I promise you will not be disappointed - the tuna with cannelloni beans is beyond compare and if they have any Umbrian Ham on the menu you'd be a fool to miss it

A three course extravaganza will set you back about £30! (Bargain - trust me!)

    Enjoy!

  6. My personal favorite is Salieri. It's over in the theater district by the Lyceum theater on The Strand. It makes an excellent before theater dinner restaurant choice. The food is great, prices are reasonable and the decor is "unusual". It kind of reminds me of a New Orleans brothel. It's really cool.

  7. Mikado's

  8. Orso is very good. Great atmosphere. Often a recognizable actor or two.

  9. Try Pizzeria La Lanterna at 6-8 Mill Street London SE1 2BA or Locanda Locatelli at 8 Seymour Street London W1 near Marylebone station .. i been in thouse restaurants the food is great ..

  10. I don't know, but let me know when you find out, I love italian food.
