  1. wagamama

  2. go to itsu on wardour street, its classy and the food is excellent, perfect for a business lunch without being too stuffy.

  3. Benihana (37 Sackville St)

Yo Sushi is great too. (52 Poland St)

  4. Yo! Suchi. Off Oxford Street.

  5. My partner took me to Kiku in mayfair the other night - top class food, little formal on the service (very Japanese I guess) and very pricey (around a £100 for two with sake and service)

They have a website so if that seems like what you are after just search for it.

  6. The famous Nobu at the top end of the price range. It's in The Metropolitan Hotel on Park Lane, so a little off your Soho requirement. But if you can afford to go here a cab is hardly going to bother you. Great for celebrity spotting also.

In Soho I would recommend Taro. There are two branches, but this is by no means a chain. The original is on Brewer St. (my favourite) while a second restaurant can be found on Old Compton St. Authentic and very relaxed serving noodle and rice dishes as well as freshly prepared Sushi of course.
