What is the best Long lens digital camera?

I dont know what SLR is? I want a good zoom so i can take landscape and protrait photos.

i'm having a little trouble understanding your question, so i came up with three variations of your question, and you pick which one you were looking to ask. ( be more specific next time you ask a question ::P)

a) Do you mean a long lens slr camera?,

there's no such thing, it depends on the lens you attach to the body. And its focal length determines its zoom range

b) Do you mean a long lens for a SLR?

that is a 700mm lens, it's 8,000$, and is very expensive, more money than a nikon d3, the world's most pro digital camera in the nikon range.

c) Do you mean the best point and shoot with/good zoom?

well, as of now, i think it's the nikon p80, it has ten megapixels, and has an eighteen times zoom range, which far surpasses the ordinary 12x zoom lenses of canon today.

oh, and slr mean single lens reflex, it's the professional line of cameras, it simply means that you can change the lenses, to make the pictures come out differently. Normal digital cameras can't do such, they are stuck with one zoom lens.

i bought a sony Hseries ... digital ...is an awsome camera ... great zoom pictures are so clear ...lots of options .... top link is for the slr u were asking about..... have fun ... there is so many digital .. companys ... stick with sony or canon ... u know the big names ....

21-35 mm is good for landscape

70-135 mm is good for portraiture
