What is the best Motocross bike to get?

I have the choice between a 2000 Kawasaki KX250 or a 1999 KTM 250 SX. They both are 2000 dollars

dont listen to these people who tell you ktm parts are more expensive i own two 525 ATVS 2008 and one 505 2008 dirtbike and 3 2004 ,2005 ktm 105sx and the parts are cheap and very fast the ktms are the best bike on the line but try to jew down the price to 1800 because that is a little high for both

dude i shall remain nameless but it all depends on your weight and ex. but look around a bit more i race pro 4 9 years and can tell ya don't get over your head or that may be where your bike landsLOL:)  OR:(      i use to practice Tues.-Thurs then fix bike on Friday night then race sat.night travel 2.5 hours then race sun , rest mon and start over again!!!!!   4   6 years til a bad back injury but with all that i still wish i could go kick but 1 more time!!!!!!!

If cost is an issue perhaps you would be better off with the kx as KTM parts are much more expensive.

the ktm is a great bike but the parts are very expensive.i would go with the kaw,it's also a great bike and easier and cheaper for parts.

You would get a better response in "Cars & Transportation"> "Motorcycles", This is "Motorcycle Racing"

what ever one is nicer the ktm might be faster but the kawasaki might be in better shape if one was owned by an adult get that and try to see which one has the most mods

get the Kawasaki it's faster handles better and does break in half when you jump it.
