What is the best NFL team you ever saw and what year???

The 1976 Pittsburgh Steelers is the best team I ever saw. Chuck Knoll agrees with me.The irony is they did not even win the superbowl.Take a look at their resume and you will get the idea why we think so.

The 85 Bears and noone else comes close.

They had the best Defense ever, and their offense was able to win games without them at times.  Walter Payton was like no other RB I have ever seen.  Mike Singletary is my favorite all time LB...his crazy eyes over the middle made many a QB wet himself.

Im a die hard Chargers fan, but I cant deny what the 85 Bears were.

Whew, well the best would have to play a tournament. The undefeated, 1968 or '69 Packers, Dolphins (Think '72), Any Steelers team of the 70's, 1985 Bears,1989 49ers, 1993 Cowboys, 1998 Broncos, and for fun 1998 Vikings and 2007 Patriots.

If Vikings and Patriots finished the deal,who knows they could've been the final two.

The best team I ever seen was the 1984 Dolphins.  That was before I watched them get pummeled by San Francisco in Super Bowl XIX.  I found a new respect for Bill Walsh on that day.  The teams that really impressed me the most were 1989 49ers, 1992 Cowboys, and the 1985 Chicago Bears.

The question at hand is kind of a trick question. It asks the best team we ever "saw". Does that mean in person, live, on NFL films, replays from other means? If the question really is after the best team of all-time then my answer is the '85 Bears no question about it. Their defense would absolutely stop even today's offenses. They had an above average offense with a great special teams. I would put them up against any team from any era and would win more than 5 out of 10 times for sure. I am not biased in this answer either...Chargers fan here....by the way...Chargers my pick to win Super Bowl this year!!

Well, again, I'm a 16 year old, and the best team I've ever seen was that 1999-2000 St. Louis Ram team. The greatest show on turf. My back up answer would be that 2000-2001 Baltimore Ravens team, but they won by defense.
