I am trying to find a 20-30 foot deck boat that is reliable and easily fixed if there is a problem. I prefer an inboard/outboard to an outboard because I am told they are quiet and have extra deck space on the back.

  1. We went from a pontoon boat to the deck boat we have now (and is for sale). the pontoon was better for the young kids and their friends we had along. the deck boat allows more possibilities, and also more work.

it is set up with the seats that go around the deck and allows for about 10 people. Fishing is (with that many people on board) just on the bow in the seat.

We have 20 hp regs here so I put a 15 and 45 horse on it for dual uses. We liked that. it looks nicer, turns better, can put even bigger motor on for better skiing.

Ours has outboards. if I can help more contact me. Also if looking for a good boat, try the marinas nearby. they usually have a post board near the dock and you can see right there what most of the boats for sale look like.

  2. Check out the Crownline line of deckboats. I currently have a Crownline cruiser and it is and excellent, and I have heard their deckboats are even better.

  3. I have seen a lot of pontoon boats, and they are all about the same. They all have outboard engines, running lights, etc. I would like one with a head and a galley.

They are all made of aluminum. Shop around at dealers near you.
