What is the best Skipping rope material?

The Everlast skipping rope made from actual rope with wooden handles sucks.

Leather is great but expensive.

Plastic is a good compromise. That said, be sure to select a gauge that is right for your skill level. The thicker the better you need to be.

all of them are good. there is usually nothing wrong with the equipment. better to look at the person using it. personally I like to use plastic but any jump-rope will do

I personally use plastic with a steelwire core. It works quite good and doesn't wear out that fast. I got two plastic ropes before but both wore through an broke within a year.
